We meet Sunday Mornings 9:15a and 11:00a at the Emerald Rainbow Family Fun Center located at 21155 Hwy. 46.

Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing. Miriam sang to them: "Sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea." Exodus 15:20-21

Imagine you have a chance to escape from your most hated enemy, the one who has kept you and your children in bondage for generations, whose kingdom is built on fear and oppression...what do you pack? Maybe clothes, shoes, family heirlooms, or food, but a tambourine, definitely not! What good will a tambourine do when you are on the run from this evil empire? It's not like a tambourine can double as some scary weapon or provide your family with protection. But for Miriam there was no question about the usefulness of this somewhat odd musical instrument. She knew that God would move in power and when he did it would be time to worship. You see, Miriam knew that worshipping God wasn't just about singing songs and praising God when it was convenient like in the tabernacle or on Sunday mornings, she knew that worshipping God was a full time, full on act of acclaiming Gods awesome power. So in the same spirit, we too pack our tambourines.

At the Riverside Community we believe worship is an outward expression of the greatness of God that should never stop. We believe we are called each day to worship God in our homes, workplaces, church, and relationships not only through music, but through prayer, teaching and fellowship. Sunday morning is the time that our entire community engages in worship together, but it is certainly not the only time we as a community worship God.
