Student Ministry

The last act Jesus did on earth before his ascension was not Chemistry homework, football practice, or youth group. The last act Jesus did on earth was to have breakfast with a few of his closet buddies. Jesus didn't make his disciples sit in a circle like good little boys and girls, he didn't rattle off a to-do list of rules and "stuff," he just sat around a fire and ate some fish.

Here at the Riverside Community Church, we believe that spending time in community with people is at the very core of the message that Jesus preached. We believe that all we have to do is love God, love each other and the rest of "the stuff" will fall into place. That is why "Refuge: Student Ministries" has decided to ditch cookie-cutter youth programs in an effort to be more like the people that Jesus calls us to be. No more power points, lectures, or boring routine, just people loving people in a small "Acacia" group setting.
