WORSHIP

There is a point in my day that far outshines any other. Like most Dad's my day is spent away from my family. Meeting this person, working on this idea, finding a way to fix this problem or knocking again on that door that should just be open. Sometimes the days are good. Other times the stress tightens my chest. Driving home I take it all in and wonder what it means. Then like switching the station on the radio slowly, that begins to fade and a new serries of thoughts begins to flow toward home. I arrive, stop the truck, and get out. It is here that a hightlight of my day happens.

DAAAAAADDDDDDIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! is reverberating in my ears as my daughter runs to meet me with her face toward mine and her flailing arms stretching towards the sky. I scoop her up and spin her around. As we spin she laughs my heart strait. We are woven together again. It was on a Sunday not long ago that I realized that is what those people are doing with their hands in the air as they worship. They want Dad to scoop them up and spin them around and to once again be woven together. I don't know if my hands will ever reach so freely as some, but my heart reaches everyday with all I have. Maybe its a highlight of His day. I hope so.

We believe in Worshipping God and Worshipping with each other. When our hearts are right our lives have a chance. Worship gives our hearts an intimate and continual alignment with the creator of the universe. Worship is a way of framing our everyday. We can worship in the most mundane actions of our lives through to the most extraordinary. This lifestyle flows through all things and contains a great and encouraging power when we join together to worship as community. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to move freely and deeply among us as we gather together to seek the presence of God as His people. We believe as we gather to worship God will transform our lives with His presence and power.
