Metamorphosis

A mother prays.

Prayer allowed people to be met in the place of their pain, a hospital room.

Prayer continued. A young girl lost and a mother desperate for Jesus to shed light in her darkness.

Fervent prayer goes before and follows the girl as she walks on the "dark path," runs away, hangs with the wrong crowd.

Prayer was there in the midst of her choices, rebelling, and shutting out.

Prayers for safety and wisdom surrounded and abounded from the family.

Prayers bring mom into the comfort of a prayer-centered group.

Prayer reveals too many risks, dilemmas, dangers, and family life careening out of control.

Prayer leads to the answer of "intervention." Family receives His peace, repreive and rest.

Prayer strengthens the family. Daughter runs from place of safety and family brings her home.

Prayer embraces, encourages, and lifts up the family. The community takes her under their wing and into youth ministry.

Prayer protects and relationships begin to form.

Prayer turns to Praise! Community gives an opportunity to serve, school gives opportunity for a "fresh start," she makes dance team and is hired for a new job!

Prayer softens hearts and inner beauty is revealed, no longer on the run - victory and acceptance felt all around...she is given wings to fly and emerges stronger from the struggle.

Praise God!
